Brian Haas
Hi! I'm Brian, a seventh-year philosophy PhD candidate at the University of Southern California. Before USC, I completed a bachelor's degree in philosophy at Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
I have broad interests in philosophy. My main areas of research are in ethics (especially silencing and the ethics of lying, deception, and manipulation), the philosophy of language (especially pragmatics and metasemantics), and metaphysics (especially metaphysical ground and fundamentality). My dissertation is on deception, and my dissertation chair is Robin Jeshion.
I use he/him or they/them pronouns.
